STRENGTH TESTING OUR PRODUCTS

We have had a number of people asking why our accessories are priced as they are when they can buy cheaper Chinese made stuff down the road that they think will do the same job. We always tell them “you get what you pay for” and that our equipment is made to last.
The outer material we use is tough, long-lasting 1000 denier CORDURA fabric known for its long-lasting durability and resistance to abrasions, sewn together with ultra strong thread. Ounce for ounce, according to the makers literature, CORDURA has a superior strength-to-weight ratio over most fabrics on the market, it 10 times more durable than cotton duck, three times more durable than standard polyester, and twice as durable as standard nylon. We show them the materials and tell them they can safely carry anything they can fit into one of our pouches, but we thought it would be really good to prove it.
So, we looked around the factory for something suitable to test and found an old carrier, one of several carriers we made to try out different design ideas. As with all our products it is made using same materials and construction as our military products except it only has  a single row of stitching on the seams.
The fabric used is the same type as for our production military equipment but is an end of roll piece of multicam material where the dying had ended - which accounts for its strange colouring, that and the dirt of a year’s rough use protecting things in the factory from damage...

At the test facility the carrier was loaded up with steel bars in a series of steps, but the testers eventually had to stop at 350Kg (that’s one third of a ton!!) because they couldn’t get any more steel bars weights into the carrier!

So we still don’t know the breaking point of the carrier, but you can rest assured that our products will carry anything you can get into them...

The testers gave us a certificate to confirm the performance and commented that they could not find any visible damage to the carrier – they also said they couldn’t believe the strength of the carrier!
So now we have proof of the actual strength of our equipment and when we say our products won’t let you down, we mean it and we can prove it - we have the pictures and the certificates.
